A Bit About Me

I'm Alicia Welshimer, a CPA and co-founder of Lark & Ledger. I spent the first decade of my career in a middle-market public accounting firm in Houston learning and growing as I served clients for their tax compliance and advisory needs.

After taking a step away from my career after baby #3, I realized my passions for building relationships and empowering people to truly understand their finances were often usurped by the volume of tax compliance work that is necessary, but not nearly as rewarding. At Lark & Ledger, I partner with our clients to help them understand their financial and tax positions so they can move forward confidently knowing they have the data and advice to make good decisions.

Outside of work, you'll find me parenting my three littles alongside my wonderful husband, adventuring with my dog, building community through our church, solving jigsaw puzzles, feeding my sourdough starter, and crocheting (amateur) blankets and stuffies. I love a bowl of popcorn, an old fashioned cocktail, and a good book.
